Textile Art: the museum of scientifically acurate brain art.

I was looking for something and came across the museum of scientificaly acurate brain art! Im not joking about the title look it up! There are textile artist who make acurate knitted sculptures or embroidered images of MRI scans. Very strange but also quite pretty i think.

Did you Know that there are people who make dresses out of expired condoms? Well Brazillian artist Adriana Bertini and American student Emma Kaywin have. I dont think that is the doctors idea of protection!

I found this book in a library when I was studying textiles a level about 9 years ago. Annemieke Mien is an amazing textile artist. So much attention to detail goes into her work its unbelieveable. I had to take a double look at one of them because it was so realistic.

There is a cute litlle Shop in Shoreditch, London. Its sells a variety of weird and wonderful things. Stationary, Ornaments Screen prints. Well worth a look. They are on Facebook now too, make friends with Shelf London and im sure they will keep posting pics of the kind of things they sell!

This is my official summer song, when I first heard the album this song is from I was not really in to it. It is deffinitly a grower. I love the vintage feel to this song, its uplifting I just want to dance! I was called out at 10pm this evening because I left the lights on at my shop! doh! I was Listening to this song on the way home and could not help but break out dancing in the under pass where i thought no one would be looking! Luckily no one was but its so liberating to just let loose evrey now and then. I often wonder what it would be like to live in a musical and just break out in song and dance when the mood takes you! I get funny looks anyway when I dress how I really want to but then I do live in Smallsbury!

Im afraid to say but this is me to a t at the moment. Im working so hard that on my days off I dont get up till 3pm lazy or what! a girl needs her beauty sleep!
